Leuphana Konzentrationstest The Ability to Concentrate and Work Carefully

Concentration section of the Leuphana Test – Practical training tips

Here is the single most important thing to know about the Ability to Concentrate and Work Carefully section of the Leuphana Study Skills test: it rewards training more than any other section. Intelligence, language skills, and analytical thinking help you everywhere else. But sustained, accurate performance under time pressure is a pure trainability question.

The concentration exam section is a so-called speed–accuracy test: you complete many simple tasks in a short time, and mistakes are penalized. You will be given a chart listing manufacturer codes and active agent codes. Your task is to follow the table carefully and quickly to determine the letter (A, B, C, or D) where the manufacturer and active agent codes intersect.

Sustained attention — the ability to maintain focus on a repetitive task over time — is a cognitive function that responds measurably to practice. Regular short sessions (10–15 minutes) of concentrated, monotonous tasks literally strengthen attentional networks in the brain. This is not pop psychology; it’s the basis of how professional proofreaders, pilots, and air traffic controllers are trained.

Week 1: 10 minutes daily, error-focused. Aim for near-zero errors, even if slow.

Week 2: 10–15 minutes, begin increasing speed while maintaining accuracy.

Week 3: 20 minutes daily, add one full timed section per week.

Week 4: Two full section simulations plus review of error patterns.

By the test day, your brain will be accustomed to switching into focus mode on demand.

Sleep well the night before, because sleep deprivation reduces sustained attention by up to 30%. Eat a moderate breakfast (not too heavy). Arrive early. And when the concentration section starts: breathe, set your pace, and don’t let one difficult item slow down the rest.
